Discover curriculum-linked education sessions

Our hands-on, learning workshop sessions for early years and KS1, 2, 3 and 4 are curriculum-linked and delivered by our specialist education team. Students will learn about animals and the natural world, supporting their learning outside the classroom.

Most of our education sessions take place outdoors, taking advantage of our diverse habitats and giving students maximum opportunity to observe and learn about our animals. Some sessions are partially delivered indoors in zoo classrooms and animal viewing areas.

New! African Forest Education Sessions

Our new learning sessions, Jungle Discovery (EYFS), Rainforests (KS1 and KS2) and Primate Evolution (KS3) are available to book now for visits from 21 April 2026.

The new learning sessions are taught in the African Forest classroom, with a view into our gorilla troop's new habitat.

African Forest, opening in spring 2026, will be the new home to our gorilla troop. The habitat will also be home to cherry-crowned mangabeys, African grey parrots, slender-snouted crocodiles, and several species of rare African fish.
