Your message at Bristol Zoo Project

Become a permanent part of our conservation zoo by creating a unique footprint to be placed in our African Forest or Bear Wood habitats.

We'll engrave a gold, silver or bronze plaque with a message of your choice; a perfect way to mark a special event, celebration or remember a loved one.

By buying a plaque, you're helping us carry out our critical conservation work, focusing on threatened habitats on our doorstep and around the globe.

Plaque locations

Choose for your plaque to be placed on the beautiful tree top walkway in Bear Wood, home to brown bears, wolves, lynx and wolverines.

Or choose African Forest, the new home for our western lowland gorilla troop, cherry-crowned mangabeys, African grey parrots and slender-snouted crocodiles.

Each plaque accommodates a message of up to 24 characters per line, with three lines in total, and you can also choose to receive a bespoke certificate of support by email.

Please note:

The plaques are outdoors and therefore subject to exposure to the elements.

Once the order has been placed, please allow a maximum of three months to installation.
