Join Circomedia as they tumble, juggle, spin and swing their way through an exciting circus cabaret of spectacular skill.

Beer sampling with Stroud Brewery

Sample the best of Gloucestershire beer with the friendly team from Stroud Brewery.

Harpist Julia Hammersley

Relax and listen to some beautiful harp music whilst enjoying a pizza or ice cream at Base Camp Pizzeria.

Geek Hustler

Ross Hedley is a ‘kind of’ magician who uses interactive games and playful wagers to demonstrate the psychology behind the choices you make and give you a peek behind the curtain.

Kingsdown Quartet

Join the Kingsdown Quartet down on Bear Wood walkway for some classical and folk music.

Barnacle Buoys

The Barnacle Buoys are a volunteer sea shanty group with over 13 years of history bringing maritime music and good cheer to audiences across the South West.

Magik Masha

Masha invites you to have a conversation with the fates as she reads your tarot cards.

Ozcan Ates and band

Be enchanted by traditional Turkish and Kurdish folk songs and Ozcan’s own compositions played on his Baglama.

Bespoke animal talks

Join the Bristol Zoo Project team for two bespoke talks.

• ‘Love the unloved’ – It’s fair to say not all animals get the same amount of love. Everyone loves a big, charismatic animal like a giraffe or bear. But what about the little guy? The odd and unusual animals that don’t get the respect they deserve. Here’s a quick look at some of nature’s most underappreciated and maligned species and why they’re so much more important and incredible than they’re given credit for.

• ‘Beasty beasties’ – Documentaries often like to focus on the harsher parts of nature – predator vs prey, the challenges and conflicts different species face, the cutthroat nature of surviving in the wild. But it’s not always like this. Some animals get along, and even help each other. Here’s a look at some positive relationships that show different species coexisting happily.

Lawn games

Get stuck into cornhole, giant Jenga, giant dominoes and more in the Sanctuary Garden.

Face painting

Why not start your evening with a bit of colour? Get your face painted for free outside the Tropical House.

During Summer Lates, most of Bristol Zoo Project will be open with the added bonus of incredible themed entertainment and activities!

Please note visitors will not be able to see the gorillas during Summer Lates.

Summer Lates will begin at 6pm and end at 9pm.

Last entry to Bear Wood will be at 8.30pm, to allow visitors enough time to enjoy the incredible walk through ancient woodland.

We'll be opening our doors at 6pm, but if you do arrive early feel free to get in line at our ticket office.

Bristol Zoo Project welcomes everyone and performers have been chosen to suit a wide range of ages.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to Summer Lates. Please use the recycling facilities provided or take rubbish home with you.

If you visit during the day, you will need to leave the site when it closes at 5pm and return for Summer Lates.

Summer Lates are a completely separate event, and ticket, to our standard day admission. We're confident that you can explore everything the zoo has to offer when attending a Summer Late event.

You cannot leave your car in the car park overnight. Security guards will be locking the gates to the car park after the event has ended and visitors have left the site.
