Gorilla Experience

Step behind the scenes of our immersive African Forest habitat and get up close to our troop of western lowland gorillas in their new home.

• Gain exclusive access to our incredible new Gorilla House, which our troop of gorillas shares with mischievous cherry-crowned mangabeys.

• Meet our expert zookeepers and learn all about caring for these mighty primates.

• Help prepare an enrichment feed for the troop to enjoy.

• Watch the action unfold from above as the gorillas enjoy the food you've prepared for them – an unforgettable, up-close encounter you won’t want to miss.

The experience lasts for 30 minutes and includes admission to the zoo for the participants for the whole day. The experience is suitable for two people.

Age 18+. The experience may not be suitable for those with a significant fear of heights or vertigo, and due to proximity to the gorillas there may be loud noises and strong smells. To protect our gorilla troop, participants are required to wear a face mask, which will be provided. IMPORTANT: If you are showing signs of cold and flu or have recently experienced gastrointestinal illness, you will not be able to take part in a gorilla experience. If this is the case, we are happy to rearrange your experience at no charge.
